Most team away days ask people to sit still, listen, and perform. A rage painting session at Splasherist does the opposite. Colleagues walk into our Bath studio at 12 Widcombe Parade, pull on overalls and shoe covers, and within minutes they are flinging paint onto canvas with the same abandon as a kid on a rainy afternoon. That shift matters. Stress tends to drop when people are physically busy, making noise, and laughing at themselves, and a session gives a team a full hour of exactly that, with no one standing at the front of the room.

The conversation comes easily once the paint is flying. Nobody has a head start, because nobody has any artistic experience to hide behind, and the people who usually lead meetings are often the ones splattering the most. Our hosts give a brief walk-through and safety briefing, then step back so the group can set the pace, and the talk that follows tends to be looser and more candid than what happens around a boardroom table. Teams can play their own music, too, which turns the room into something closer to a party than a workshop.
